Problèmes de métaphysique

Présentation

Le séminaire annuel a lieu le mercredi 16-18, à la salle U159 (toute l'annĂ©e). L'objectif de ce séminaire est de couvrir un certain nombre de sujets importants de la métaphysique du temps et des états de choses, en particulier :

  1. théorie A vs. théorie B du temps
  2. le problème des propriétés intrinsèques temporaires et la persistance à travers le temps
  3. le nominalisme de la ressemblance
  4. présentisme vs éternalisme
  5. les tropes et leurs types
  6. la distinction (s'il y en a une) entre états de choses et tropes
  7. le statut modal et ontologique des lois de la nature

Chaque semaine, une courte présentation de textes importants introduira au sujet et une discussion suivra. Ce séminaire regroupera les collaborateurs associés au nouveau Centre de Métaphysique eidos, et servera également comme séminaire pro*doc du programme pro*doc "Mind, Normativity, Self, and Properties" des Universités de Genève, Fribourg et Lausanne.

Le séminaire est ouvert aux étudiants avancés. Il fait partie de "MA3 : Philosophie avancée 3" (3I025) et de "MA6 : Philosophie avancée 6" (3I028) et une des parties semestrielles donne, avec un travail écrit de environ 50000 signes (sans espaces vides) et une soutenance, droit à 12 ECTS. Les étudiants qui suivent (activement) les deux parties semestrielles peuvent écrire un travail de écrire un travail un peu moins long. Le séminaire peut également être suivi par des étudiants de BA. Ceux qui participent activement au séminaire et lisent toutes les ouvrages recommandés, mais n'écrivent pas de travail écrit, reçoivent 6 ECTS.
